Hello Gryphon Kingdom! My name is Tenaya M. Rhinehardt.  I attended University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg, Missouri, and completed my studies in Elementary and Middle School Education with a minor in Spanish. At University Academy, I've been blessed to teach Middle and High School Debate, and currently I teach Middle School English Language Arts and 6-8 Spanish. I was the Head Middle School Cheerleading coach for students in 7th and 8th grade for over 9 years. Outside of University Academy, I also coached Sharks Cheerleading for South Side Suburban Football for 3 years. In 2018, I was a finalist for Regional Teacher of the Year through Kansas City's Regional Development Center's Master Teacher Academy. I am also a member of the Better Lesson Master Teacher Program. I've been teaching for over 20 years+ and currently serve as the Instructional Coach for the Middle School English Language Arts Team and Team Lead for the 7th grade team. Outside of educating children and leading adults,  I enjoy singing, acting, the visual arts, photography, traveling, shopping and cooking and writing. I look forward to working with you and your child as they discover and hone their skills as an active reader and writer in today's world.
