Teaching art is my passion. I LOVE what I do. My hope and intention is to make our students lifelong artists or at the very least, lifelong art enthusiasts!
A bit about me- I was born and raised in Kansas City, then spent twenty wonderful years in California before coming back to KC, where I have remained since. I have traveled to a few bits around the world and love exploring new cultures. I have a fabulous son who graduated from UA in 2014, a lovely sheep dog- Bailey, and two cantankerous cats- Tito and Bubba, all rescued from the pound. Teaching is my third career- I spent twenty years in insurance in San Francisco and in KC, and ten years in professional theatre in San Francisco. This is my eleventh year teaching and all at UA. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my passion for the arts and teaching about this wonderfully diverse world we live in.
