University Academy Upper School was officially awarded a National Blue Ribbon School plaque in Washington, D.C. on November 7th.   Pictured below from the left are Mr. David Persley (math, coding), Dr. Clem Ukaoma (principal), Mr. Tony Kline (superintendent), and Mr. Bush Helzberg (board chairman).   Mr. Barnett Helzberg (co-founder and board member) was also in attendance.   The Blue Ribbon is given to less than 1% of all public and private schools in the country, and is based on student achievement over a five year period.   The UA Upper School has consistently been among the very top high school in the state over the past five years, peaking at #1 just last year.   UA is the first charter school in Missouri history to win this award.   This is a testament to all stakeholders (board, administration, teachers, students and parents) and their commitment to excellence.   Congratulations University Academy!
