Pension Information
As a Charter School located
within the boundaries of the Kansas City, Missouri school district,
staff members must become members of the Kansas City Public School
Retirement System (KCPSRS). Participation means that a percentage of
your income is withheld from your gross pay (before taxes are taken
out). Effective January 1, 2016, the percent of income withheld for your
retirement is 9.0%. Once you acquire 5 years of creditable service, you
will be vested in the retirement plan. That means that you have a right
to a monthly benefit under this plan when all other qualifying
