UA Names New COO and Middle School Principal

We have had the opportunity to make some internal moves with staff to help meet the growing needs of UA. I am sharing that information with you today so you are aware of these changes that will take effect in the second semester.

I am happy to announce Mr. Stacy Graff, current MS Principal, will be taking on the role of Chief Operating Officer starting January 4th.  Mr. Graff will have oversight duties for facilities, campus safety, technology, and operations (food service/transportation).  Mr. Graff has served as the Middle School principal for the past 6 years.  He has been a Science Teacher, Coach, Assistant Principal, Elementary Principal, Middle School Principal, and High School Principal in a 28 year career.  He is looking forward to the challenge and has started his transition for his new role.

I am also excited to announce Mrs. Amerison will be promoted to MS Principal, starting January 4th.  Mrs. Amerison first joined UA in 2005 and has served as a teacher, Coach, MS Assistant Principal since 2014, and was the Dean of Students from 2011-2014.  She has done a wonderful job and is most deserving of this opportunity.  We are not going to immediately fill the role of Assistant Principal.  However, we will post that job and interview applicants during the spring semester for a summer start date.  

We are currently conducting a search for a Security Coordinator and a Facilities Manager due to Officer Banks' and Mr. Swanson's recent retirements.  Those job positions are here.
