UA Issues Spring Break Travel Precautions

UA Issues Spring Break Travel Precautions
Posted on 03/09/2020
University Academy Parents and Guardians,

As you know, schools and institutions are watching the COVID-19, aka Coronavirus, very closely.  We know that many families will be traveling during Spring Break.  To help us do the best we can to prevent an outbreak at University Academy, we ask the following:

If your student is planning to travel overseas or take a cruise trip during Spring Break, please contact Mrs. Kivett by emailing her at or calling her at 816-412-5976.

We need to know where students have been to determine if extra precautions need to be taken after arriving back to Kansas City, according to updated CDC recommendations.  Those precautions could involve self-quarantine until it can be determined the travelers are clear of the virus.  Should that happen, we will work with all students and families to make sure students get missing assignments and a chance to make up work.

Please see the CDC's most recent guidance on cruises below.
Thank you,

Tony Kline
