Audrey Pribnow

Hi, Gryphons! My name is Audrey Pribnow, and I am excited to be in the midst of my 10th year of teaching here at University Academy. After growing up in Eastern Nebraska, I attended and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with my bachelor's in journalism. I was then accepted to Teach For America and moved to Kansas City to pursue my passion of working to ensure that every child has access to a quality education. I earned a master's degree in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Here at UA I've taught 5th, 2nd, and 1st grades. I've also coached middle and high school volleyball for six years. Last year I was excited to take over the journalism department at UA. I am continuing in this role teaching middle and high school journalism, in addition to middle school computers.

Outside of school you can usually find me at a coffee shop, Barnes & Noble, or in bleachers/stadium seats somewhere in Kansas City. I am a huge fan of the Royals, the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and of course, the UA Gryphons!

Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions, concerns, etc.  You can do that through the "Contact Me" section of this website OR by emailing me at pribnowa@universityacademy.org.  My "door" is always open!
