Nine students from the Upper School Coding class attended the Diamond Hack Hackathon this past weekend at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Von'Tazia Guthrie and Arsema Berhane won a Dell tablet and Bluetooth speakers. Jazmyne Smith and Aliyah Hunter each won a drone.  Seniors Michael Davis, Darius Gault, Blake Norton, Raven Nevels and Ashli Hunter also participated.  This trip was made possible by Coding teacher Mr. David Persley winning a grant from the Teach for America Shark Tank competition.  Mr. Persley and Ms. Susie Jackson accompanied the team.   Congrats, Gryphon Coders!
