Dr. Cherif Seck
I joined U.A. in the position of French teacher. I am a literary professional who has earned four certificates in Education, and four degrees in Literature: a B.A., a M.A. in Modern language, a M.A in elementary and secondary education, an Advanced degree in Modern Language from Dakar University (Senegal), and a Ph.D. degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Paris X – Nanterre – (France). My fields of specialization are Comparative Literature and Language Teaching. I published more than ten books in Paris, in the US, and written and published several scholarly articles in my areas of specialization. I am co-founder of ECSU’s international journal. Prior to joining U.A, I served as Textbooks and Learning Materials Program Coordinator and Interim Director of ECSU (Elizabeth City State University), NC international program, as Language Coordinator/Teacher at Longan French Magnet School in Kansas City, Missouri. Earlier in my career, I worked as elementary, middle, and high school teacher in my native country of Senegal, as lecturer at Perugia University in Italy through an exchange program between Sorbonne University and Perugia University, lecturer at University McGill in Montréal, Canada, and as a professor of French as a Foreign and Second Language at ACEREP, Paris (France).
