Teaching art is my passion. I LOVE what I do. My hope and intention is to make our students lifelong artists or at the very least, lifelong art enthusiasts!

A bit about me- I was born and raised in Kansas City, then spent twenty wonderful years in California before coming back to KC, where I have remained since.  I have traveled to a few bits around the world and love exploring new cultures. I have a fabulous son who graduated from UA in 2014, a lovely sheep dog- Bailey, and two cantankerous cats- Niko and Bubba, all rescues.  Teaching is my third career- I spent twenty years in insurance in San Francisco and in KC, and ten years in professional theatre in San Francisco. This is my twelfth year teaching and all of them have been here at UA. I thoroughly enjoy sharing my passion for the arts and teaching about this wonderfully diverse world we live in.
