Parent Expectations
‚ÄčHi parents –

Welcome to Advanced Studies!

Being the parent of a well-above-average child is a big responsibility.  First and foremost – be a role model for learning for your child. Take an interest in nature, the city, the country, the world. Talk to them about what is going on. Demonstrate community involvement.

Be interested in what they experience. Be careful about too much adult content media that can confuse and influence them in a negative way.

If I call you about a certain behavior, please support me.  It’s important to keep our small group running smoothly.

Students must keep their regular subject grades above 85%. If they fall below that, we will need to be in contact to find a remedy.

Know that I am all in for helping your child learn skills that will help him or her for their lifetime.

Here is a good website for thinking about being that parent we all want to be.

Here’s to a great year!
